Okay so I didn't watch the award show because I'm sure most of the music would make me want to stick a pencil in my eye and swish it around. However that said, I always love checking out the fashion from the red carpet. From the pics I saw online my favorite look of the evening was, surprisingly, Mandy Moore. I'm not even sure what this girl is doing musically these days. I've never been a fan of her music but I do think she is a good actress. I think she hit the nail on the head of what the perfect look should be for this particular award show. A lot of people try to hard to look "rocker chic" at these events and to be honest I'm personally just getting bored with that style. It has been all over the place for how many seasons now? Then you have your other set of ladies who dress like they are going to the Academy Awards in long formal dresses. Sure they look great but come on ladies-- It's the AMA's you should shake it up a little! Have a little fun. Then last but not least you have the Lady Gaga wannabes that are trying way too hard. You are having too much fun--its not halloween or burningman!
I love that Mandy's dress has long sleeves but that is contrasted by the short length. She looks effortlessly cute! Does anybody else have a fav look from the night?

Spring 2011
Most fashion people I know say that Fall is their favorite season but Spring has always been mine. Not because you wear less but because of color! I have always been in love with vivid hues, prints, and combinations of the two. My opinion is is you don't like color you have no imagination. Here are some pics of spring styles taken from style.com that I just love.
This is a Rachel Roy look. Something I would actually wear if I could afford it. Those of you who know my style know this is totally a "Tanaya outfit".
This look is from the Milly show. I absolutely love and would wear that jacket. I like how everything else she is wearing is very basic except for the fun shades. Funky shades are something a lot of the designers showed on the runway for spring and something we can all afford. I just bought myself a new pair of cat-eye frames!
This look is ZSpoke by Zac Posen. I love rompers and shorts but would wear them with tights or leggings. Unless you are a size 6 or smaller I don't reccommend trying to pull this look off with bare legs. Yellow is also one of my favorite colors to wear and the yellow plaid reminds me of Cher from Clueless which was one of the first movies that had a big influence on my style.
Christian Dior! More yellow. So cute!
More Dior. I love the bib necklace and the unexpected orange shoes. The dress is just to die for : )
Chanel was one of my favorite collections for spring. I love these leather boot platform sandles. This is just rock 'n roll goodness. All the accessories used in styling these looks were just killer. Below are more of my favs from Karl Lagerfeld, fashion genius.
